Slowrock and music in the 80's....yes i'm an 80's kid

It's 1:25 am and my eyes are still wide open.  Since my baby is sleeping and i'm in the front of the computer, then what else is there to do aside from writing this new post of mine...music... Yes, and I am now listening to rock ballad or slow rock.  I so love this kind of music, maybe because I grew up listening with these.  My father is such a huge fan of slowrock and same with my uncles.  I remember when i was still a kid, we always have this family gathering and we cook lots of food, and our background music is slowrock.   And of course the elders will have their drinks and 1 of my uncle will play the guitar, and everyone of us will just sing songs of Eagles, Scorpions, Nazareth and a lot more.
Then when i was in high school, i even made a song book, i wrote down the song's lyrics and tried to write it with my most beautiful penmanship.  A thick notebook full of songs from slowrock to mellow or lovesongs, still from the 80's.  I am so proud of it coz when my classmates learned that i have it, they try to borrow it from me and they were amazed of the songs that was in there.  Their common reaction is "Oh, is this the title of this song?" or "oh i've been looking for the lyrics of this song and you have it."  During those times, we have no access yet to internet, no cd's, and we only have cassette tapes.  So what i did, i played my father's cassette tapes in our reliable red cassette player.  I pressed the play, pause, rewind, and fast forward buttons many times to get the song's lyrics.  And voila, i have my own song book collection!
And yes until now, everytime I have a spare time from all the house chores, taking care of my baby and doing all my duty, i do listen to music.  It has this kind of relaxing effect to a one's tired body and mind.  I do listen and appreciate modern music, but nothing really beats to music way back in the old days.  Don't you agree?

i need to learn how to drive!!! It's never too late...

I'm always asking myself, when will i ever have the courage to learn on how to drive?  I'm already 30 years old and yet I am still afraid of putting my hands on the steering wheel.  Just a thought of me driving a car gives me chills coz i am so afraid with other cars, those jeepneys, especially the big trucks, oh my golly!  That's why I am always amazed with other women who drives like a mad man, geeez!!...i'm so jealous.
But of course, above all, i need to get a driver's license.  Getting a driver's license here in the Philippines is somehow easy as long as you follow the right procedure.  I have inquired before in a driving school, just add a little amount and they will assist you on getting the license.  hhmm looking forward on getting a driver's license and then drive........someday..

Post wedding anniversary..8th wedding anniversary

July 6, 2013 marks our 8th year anniversary..8 years of being together, thru thick and thin, good times and bad times, the road is not always smooth for a one blissful marriage.  Trials will always approach you and it's up to you how you are going to handle it.  I love the fact that actually everything is under our control, it is just a matter of knowing when to hold and to let go.  Problems will always be there, they will never go away and they are here to stay, for they are basis of our strength and weaknesses, the gauge of our failure and success.
We are not perfect, we commit mistakes.. But both of us have the courage to admit what we have done and we submit ourselves to correct it.  And now here we are, building together our beautiful family, supporting each other with everything we do.
More years for us, my hubby!

oopps! sorry I almost forgot......

oh my, oh my! i never thought it's been almost 5 years since i had posted my very first blog.  If I haven't feel weary this past few days, maybe i wouldn't remember this blog at all.  Well remembering way back 2008, it was only me and my husband and we were in Pagsanjan, Laguna that time, and moving fast forward 2013, now, we are settled here in my hometown Taytay, Rizal and  we already have a very lovely and bright 2 year-old daughter, who always keeps me busy by making me chasing her around the house, play, sing and her dad's apple-of-the-eye.  Suddenly, i just realized that during that 5 years, so many things had happened.  And those things is what i am going to share with you on my next posts.  Well, I'm back, alive and kicking, and tired (hahaha)!!
